Driving social media engagement and encouraging creativity with a colourful promotion

What's the problem?

Our client, Batsford, a leading publisher in the areas of fashion, design and illustration, practical art, textile art, heritage and chess, wanted to set up a creative competition that would inspire engagement on social media, offering the winner a relaxing spa break for two.

What we did

The winner of a “Colour your own Tropical Wonderland” competition received a Spa Break as a prize. Entrants were asked to colour in one of the downloadable images, like the Colour and Win Facebook page, and post or scan a photo of their masterpiece. We designed and coordinated the prize for the competition, and the creator of Batsford’s favourite image won a relaxing luxury spa break for two, which included:

  • Overnight accommodation and breakfast at a UK spa hotel (from a choice of 14 UK hotel locations)
  • Unlimited access to the spa facilities
  • A spa treatment
  • A copy of Millie Marotta’s Tropical Wonderland and a set of pencils to get the winner started with this relaxing activity
